Steve Bannon is reportedly terrified of the #MeToo movement – and thinks Oprah Winfrey poses an existential threat to President Donald Trump. The Former White House Chief Strategist informed Newsweek that in his estimation women are currently the biggest threat to America and Oprah is their leader!”The anti-patriarchy movement is going to undo ten thousand years of recorded history,” Bannon said in a report that is going viral. “You watch. The time has come. Women are gonna take charge of society. And they couldn’t juxtapose a better villain than Trump. He is the patriarch.””The 2020 election, he was suddenly sure, wouldn’t be merely the Democrats versus the Republicans, but the Patriarchy versus the Matriarchy,”Newsweek Journalist Joshua Green wrote. “And right now, Oprah is winning.”But Winfrey, 64, although seemingly ageless in a July interview told british Vogue that she couldn’t stomach a presidential run. But Oprah also has said the only thing that could get her to run would be a clear sign from God. “I had people ― wealthy, billionaires ― calling me up and saying, ‘I can get you a billion dollars. I can run your campaign,”’ she said in an interview with People magazine. “That many people saying something made me think, ‘Am I at least supposed to look at the question?’ America has had a black president. Is the country ready for a black president who is also a woman? A recent Quinnipiac poll says that more Americans would vote for former Vice President Joe Biden if he ran for president. If elected, Biden would be 78 years old when entering the White House. The poll also revealed potential support for Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, the lawmaker from New York who holds Clinton’s former seat in the Senate. The poll revealed 49 percent of Americans would say “no” and only 13 percent said “yes” to her candidacy. Yet Gillibrand remains outspoken and a force for women’s rights. When asked about the Judge Kavanaugh hearings fiasco she responded on twitter with the following statement, “The White House didn’t want to hear from Dr. Blasey Ford. They didn’t want a complete FBI investigation until they were forced to conduct one — and even then, they only wanted a sham investigation to provide cover. Keep speaking out. Don’t rest until we get to the bottom of this.” Gillibrand has also spoken out in support of single-payer health care, a policy Sanders pushed during his 2016 campaign. The only other woman considered a threat is Senator Kamala D. Harris (D-Calif.). According to The Hill.com “Kamala Harris is increasingly positioning herself for a what is expected to be a crowded Democratic primary for the White House in 2020.” “She’s not only positioning herself to run for president but she is positioning herself to the progressive left, and one of the ways she’s been most effective at doing that is to pick a fight with the demons on the right,” said Thad Kousser, a political science professor and department chair at the University of California, San Diego. Harris’ voice is feared by the right who are doing everything to silence her.”A known champion of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party,” is the reputation she has garnered and it is growing fast.
